My name is Jan Oleksy. Born and raised in Poland. University of Agriculture in Krakow, MBA in Animal Sciences 1977.
Since 1998 in USA working as a plant manager for Rose Acre Farms, Inc.
In 1997 I went back to Poland and bought near Krakow ran down 19 century palace, restored it and converted to luxurious hotel which is known as Paszkówka Palace. www.paszkowka.pl
Since then I travel a lot, mostly between US and Poland. I like to call myself “citizen of the world” although my roots are in Polish mountains and my home is in USA where my wife and three adult children live.
I was able to spend few days in high Andes with local people living their lives for less than a dollar a day. This experience has changed me. I have decided to slow my business involvement and dedicate my time, effort and some of my money to the war on poverty, instead. I have seen the beautiful Peru for tourists as we all know and want to know. And I have also seen Inca heirs: known as Andean Indigenous–people who live in poverty without hope for a better life. But I also saw a small group of People who make a difference. Organization is called Pachamama Raymi or “Learning from best”. (www.pachamamaraymi.org). I support them in their work. |
