On 5 and Aug. 6 a workshop was held on Formulation and implementation of Development Projects organized by the Municipality of the District of Echarate, which is the largest municipality of the Department of Cusco.
An important event was the presentation of three projects regarded as the most successful in Peru, as they could and should be replicated the District of Echarate, in order to be effective in eradicating poverty in the district.
The Directorate General of multi-year Programming of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (DGPM) was in charge of selecting the most successful projects. The three projects selected were:
• MARENASS which now works in two provinces of Cusco, (Ing. Teófilo Zamalloa was in charge of the presentation) (http://www.pachamamaraymi.org/english/raymi-historia8.html )
• Sierra Sur which works in Moquegua and Puno (presented by Mr. Tuero) (http://www.sierrasur.gob.pe/web/ )
• The Special Project Jaen San Ignacio Bagua in the province of Jaen - Cajamarca (presented by Vinzenz Zender) (http://www.pachamamaraymi.org/english/raymi-historia14.html )
It is quite significant that all three projects use the methodology Pachamama Raymi. The representatives of the three projects recognized and thanked Willem van Immerzeel for his contribution in the design and dissemination of the methodology Pachamama Raymi.
Something that could not meet the friends of the DGPM, is how projects identified by them as the most successful, can be formulated within the restrictive parameters of the National System of Public Investment (better known as "SNIP").
