Today, a group of 4 farmers trained through the Pachamama Raymi program, left Cusco, to assist the project Aid for Peru. Their task will be to help the families to improve their living conditions. They will help them to gain a positive perspective of their situation, improve housing, agricultural production, and vegetable and livestock production.
This group of 4, are the first farmers of 15 that will be send by Pachamama Raymi to help their counterparts in the earthquacke struck area.
"Aid for Peru" supports the reconstruction of areas in the south of the country that were struck by the earthquake of 2007.
The project is to run for 18 months with funding from the European Union. The most important mission of the project is to improve the living conditions of families hit by the earthquake.
