Today, Vidal, the coordinator for Ocongate, picked up the newly printed rules and regulations for the contest of 8 communities of Ocongate (Huacatinco, Julicunca, Kuchuhuasi, Lahualahua, Pallca, Patapallpa Alta, Patapallpa Baja). He will distribute them among the participating families (500+), which will give everyone a great kick to continue improving and investing in their own future. Particularly important for this period is communal rangeland management improvement, and control of ticks in sheep and alpacas.

But Vidal is also going to try and do an experiment with a new/old idea from Korea: the "ondol" or "under floor heating". He will use this idea to make warm beds for people in Ocongate, and for their visitors (tourists). Ocongate is very high (over 12,000 feet) and very cold. The ondol will make that people can live much more confortably.
