Fruit - oranges, bananas, etc., which is bought at the market.

How does the community manage or handle (animal) grazing?: The community is managed mainly by family plots, meaning that each family has their own land and they manage their own plot. According to the community president, each family practices rotational grazing by separating there own land.

How, or from what do the people in the community make/earn money?: The main source of income in the community is generated by buying and selling of alpacas (improving the quality). In addition, many travel to Puerto Maldonado to work in mining companies.
How do the majority of men earn money?: The main source of income for the men is generated by buying and selling alpacas and traveling to work in Puerto Maldonado.
What else do they do to earn money?: The majority of men in the community contribute the majority of time working in their fields.
How do the majority of women earn money?: The women mainly work as animal herders.
What else do they?: The women also dedicate themselves to domestic chores (cooking, cleaning, etc.). Also, from time to time the women help their husbands in the field.

What are the principal products that are sold in the market?: NA.
Where do the inhabitants/people from the community take their products to sell outside of the community?: The population of Chaupimayo goes to Tinke to sell their products, which has a market every Sunday.
What are the principal products the villagers sell there?: The main products sold by the community in Tinke are Alpaca meat and fur.
What other economic activities are there in the community (community, artisanry, mining, lumber, etc.)?: NA.
Approximately, how many weeks (or months) per year do men work outside the community?: Approximately, the men spend about 3 months during the year outside of the community from May to September in order to make ends meet. They usually go to Puerto Maldonado, where there is quite a lot of mining. Moreover, it is important to note that these months when the men travel outside of their community in search of work, it corresponds with the dry season.
What are the principal problems for the community to (in order) to sell their products?: According to the community, the principal problem in selling their products are the difficulty in growing crops due to the harsh cold weather and the hail that destroys crops, and an “unknown” terminal illness among the alpacas that contributes to their rapid death (According to the community, this illness starts with a fever of the Alpaca, shortly after the Alpaca dies).
What are the best opportunities for the business (commerce) of the products of the community?: The best opportunities for the products of the community would be to prevent and cure the terminal illnesses of the alpacas.
What institutions work in the community?: The institutions present in the community are Programa Juntos, Pronamachs, and a program that helps with literacy.
What type of work (projects) do these organizations carry out?: Programa Juntos supports families with extremely low income in order to cover costs in relation to education, health, and other necessities for their children.
